The Eco Committee is a student-led initiative focused on promoting environmental awareness, sustainability practices, and eco-friendly initiatives within the school community. The committee is supported by a group of dedicated students who actively participate in environmental conservation efforts and advocate for sustainable practices. It plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of environmental responsibility, raising awareness about sustainability issues, and driving positive change within the school and the broader community. House Captains are student leaders who play a crucial role in fostering a sense of community, teamwork, and healthy competition within our school's house system. They lead their peers in various activities and events. House Captains often organise and participate in inter-house competitions, promote school spirit, and serve as role models for their fellow students. Their responsibilities may include coordinating house meetings, encouraging participation in school events, and supporting the school's REACH values and ethos.

Precious Plastics
The BISR Al Hamra Campus has developed a recycling centre and Precious Plastic workshop on the school grounds. We have placed a real emphasis on managing and recycling our own plastic waste. The educational aspect has always been central to our project, with students partaking in hands-on workshop sessions discussing the plastic problem, waste collection, and identification, as well as using our machines to recycle products.

"I have been involved in Precious Plastic for 3 years. It is lots of fun and shows students how you turn old trash into new recycled items of value. We have made woven plastic bowls using our extruder machine. I have also assisted in lesson by, teaching primary students the importance of recycling and what happens in our workshop" Year 9 student

"Precious Plastics is an eco-friendly community where we come together to recycle plastic for the good of the world. My favourite bit of Precious Plastic is knowing we are making the world a better place." Year 6 student
