Our teachers offer expertise in their subject area, care for the students in their care and the dedication to go above and beyond with learning outside the classroom.  Students are given opportunities to participate in over 160 activities after school and offered experiences to travel locally, nationally and internationally. Our Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and extensive Service Learning programme provides a full, rich and holistic education.

 

The Senior School is split into 3 sections

Key Stage 3 (KS3) – years 7 to 9 (ages: rising 12 to 14)

Key stage 4 (KS4) – years 10 and 11 (ages: rising 15 to 16)

Key Stage 5 (KS5 or 6th Form) – Years 12 and 13 (ages: rising 17 To 18)

 

Our aim is to provide a positive experience for all students, enabling them to acquire not only formal qualifications but life skills that will support their future aspirations. Using the three pillars; Well-being, Learning and Enrichment we empower students to be the best versions of themselves. 

BISR is diverse and varied, celebrating and welcoming all nationalities. We are an inclusive school and aim to support those in our care. Upon entry we ask the students to complete a number of assessments to ascertain if we can support their needs and provide them with the help they need to succeed.
