Al-Wadia compound is the smallest sibling in the BISR family and this is reflected in the size of the school and the average year on year pupil populations. The school is very much in the tradition of the small village school that sits at the heart of the community. It has 3 teaching rooms, a school hall (used for everything from school productions to an emergency alternative venue for hosting compound events on the occasional rainy day), and a number of multi-use spaces. The outside playground has recently been refurbished, with the addition of a full sunshade and an outside kitchen area. The school is wi-fi enabled and there are ipads at a 1:2 ratio from Y1 to Y6.
The school also has access to the facilities on the compound which include: a 20 metre swimming pool, supermarket, multi-use all weather pitch and tennis court, and medical centre. The school is able to access the local medical centre for its service, support and advice.
The school is very well maintained and presented. The compound supports the development of the school as it embraces new pedagogy and further develops its environments for learning.
